It's a liveaction show, but the main character's imagination is animated.
The character design and overall look of the show is by

Este personagem da série "Tuguex" foi o ultimo a ser desenhado aquando da pre-produção da série. Isto devido a ela ter de ser uma tiazorra emproada e futil por fora, mas matreira como uma raposa por dentro.
Desenhei estes 2 sketches , que foram rejeitados pelo escritor/criador da série, pelo que para chegar ao desenho final acabei por pegar na outra personagem feminina da série e altereia no Anime Studio Pro.
This character from the series "Tuguex" was the last one to be completed back when I was designing them. This was so due to her having to be a futile-stuck-up-forty-something-office-snoop on the out side, but be cunning as a fox on the inside.
I drew those two sketches, that were rejected by the writer/creator of the show, and ultimatly took the other female character and tweeked her on Anime Studio to end up with the colored one on the right.
Criei este personagem para para um trabalho, o trabalho foi elugiado, mas rejeitado porque é um projecto infantil e o desenho fico demasiado juvenil/adulto.
This is a character that I did as concept for a work that was not picked up. I went over the top making it too teen/adult instead of more childish and cartoony.

Finalmente conclui tudo o que queria fazer de imagens para por isto com um look mais Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, The Mummy ou Romancing the Stone, como preferirem.
Os desenhos são inspirados nos pictogramas Aztecas e foi tudo desenhado em Corel e depois texturado em Photoshop. A iguana e o macaco são desenhos meus do ano passado adaptei para encaixarem no cenário Sul Americano.

I finaly concluded all the elements I had envisioned for the Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, The Mummy or Romancing the Stone look I was going for.
The elements are Aztec inspired and were all drawn in Corel and then textured in Photoshop. The iguana and the monkey are a couple of drawing of mine from last year wich I ajusted to best fit the new South American backdrop.nov

O conceito era um cinema americano clássico com a entrada tipica por baixo do Poster com o filme que estava na sala e com a bilheteira por trás do vidro.

The concept was a classic american theater, with the lobby beneath the huge poster of the "now playing" movie, complete with the ticket selling booth behind the glass.
